In the heart of Delhi’s buzzing premium spirits scene, a new bottle is turning heads and it isn’t just because of its striking tiger motif glinting under neon accents. Meet Madhvan, the latest whisky from Uppal Brewers & Distillers (UBD), a brand determined to prove that Indian spirits can be every bit as luxurious, layered, and aspirational as their international counterparts.

“Madhvan isn’t just a drink, it’s an attitude,” says Ankur Sachdeva, Co-Founder and CEO of UBD. “Consumers today want stories and symbols that match their ambition. Madhvan doesn’t just taste bold—it feels bold.”

The name itself draws from Sanskrit, where madhu means nectar and van means forest—a nod to the whisky’s character and rootedness. Crafted by Master Blender Prabhat Barik, the spirit opens with aromas of ripe pear, tropical fruits, and soft florals, unfurling into honeyed toffee, vanilla, and spice. The finish is clean, warm, and oak-tinged, designed for those who savor complexity in every sip.

At ₹990 for a 750 ml bottle, Madhvan is currently available in Delhi and Punjab, but plans are already in motion for a national rollout. Its edgy, dark aesthetic — grunge palettes, sleek typography, and a roaring tiger — captures a new India: ambitious, unapologetic, and fiercely stylish.

“We’re shaping homegrown brands that rival the world’s best,” says Co-Owner Kanhav Uppal. With India’s spirits market projected to soar, Madhvan isn’t just another premium whisky, it’s a rallying cry for a generation that drinks with intent, identity, and fire.
